Hi, I'm Karen O. This is embarrassing for me but here goes. I'm just getting home from an 10 day hospital stay. It was split between 2 hospitals and several days at both. Don't mind the pic. I was sticking my tongue out at my 2 favorite community hospital nurses lol. I plan to get back to my profile pic. 

First the backstory. My brother and I moved out here to Arkansas about 15 months ago. We came out with 2 dogs and a cat. That's pretty much the extent of our family. Everyone else is gone. 

I've been struggling financially on disability for Rheumatoid Arthritis for several years now but I had always been able to pay my bills and have a few dollars at the end of the month. My brother works as a bus driver and although the population here was a little different he was doing well. Then in February I went to my neighborhood community hospital in February. They have awesome nurses and docs but are limited in care provided. They sent me to a bigger hospital in the city. I was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) then. Along with the RA and MDS my hope is a stem cell transplant. Honestly I'll take any treatment that allows me to feel better. My former cancer facility doesn't do stem cell transplants. I'm meeting my new oncologist next week. 

We still continued to do okay until 2 months ago. My brother has been taking care of me and helping me get to appointments, cook, take care of the house etc. He wound up losing his job. I had no idea that was a possibility. 

He has a new job next month but my disability payment can't cover everything for 3 full months. I'm basically looking for help for 1 months bills and then we should be back on our feet. So I am on here asking strangers for help. I don't have FB or any social media. I'm not even sure how to prove to you that I am who I say I am.
