About this fundraiser

Just a short while ago, I faced a life-altering challenge: becoming an amputee. Despite the initial shock and the steep learning curve, I was determined to regain my independence. I worked incredibly hard, got my first prosthetic, and was making amazing progress. I was finally starting to feel like myself again.
Then, life threw another unexpected and devastating curveball. I became seriously ill, leaving me bedridden for five long months. During that time, I lost all the progress I had made, including over 25 pounds—much of it vital muscle mass. The heartbreaking reality is that my prosthetic no longer fits, rendering it useless for my mobility.
To compound the challenge, my caretaker and companion recently left, leaving me without the support I desperately relied on. I've also been waiting for disability benefits for three and a half years, which means I currently don't have insurance. This situation has created an insurmountable barrier: I can't afford to get my prosthetic resized, nor can I pay for the crucial physical therapy I need to rebuild my strength and learn to walk again.
All I want is to regain my mobility and feel "normal" again. The ability to move freely, to participate in daily life, and to simply be independent is what I yearn for most. Your support can make an incredible difference in helping me achieve this.
Your generous contribution will directly go towards:
* Resizing and adjusting my prosthetic: This is the critical first step to getting back on my feet.
* Essential physical therapy sessions: To regain muscle strength, improve balance, and learn to confidently use my prosthetic.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings me closer to my goal of renewed independence and a return to a fulfilling life. Thank you for considering supporting my journey.
