Hello My name is Shelly & I’m reaching out in need of support to get my daughter Ariana the urgent surgery she needs to treat her Stage 4 Deep infiltrating endometriosis. She is also at risk of losing her donation money of 6,800 if we can not raise more money quickly to get her surgery scheduled, please read and help her
All of her childhood & teenage years she has struggled with chronic health issues
As of May 2018 she underwent her first laparoscopic surgery at 15 yrs old to diagnose & burn off what endo there was. Not informed at the time how ablation can spread the disease when burned & treats only the surface area . Unfortunately her Obgyn had told her that the endo had made it behind her uterus & next to the rectum. Making it clear he could not touch that area due to risk of damaging large arteries & small blood vessels, stating she’ll need another surgery with a Endometriosis Specialist.
What is Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis? (DIE)
Is an aggressive form of disease where endometrial like tissue invades deep structures & organs including bowel, bladder, ligaments, ureters & surrounding tissues . Because the disease is literally embedded within vital organs, DIE requires advanced surgical expertise, multidisciplinary planning & Surgeon trained in complex, nerve-sparing excision. It is not just “severe cramps” . It is a structurally invasive disease that demands precise, specialist-level treatment to restore function & quality of life .
Why she needs this 2nd surgery urgently?
After going into 2025 with the news she is at high risk of losing her uterus & other organs due to the damage endo is causing, which can result into a bowel obstruction or worse, needing a stoma bag or other medical devices just to function & is highly afraid of that happening to her. After years of waiting & researching for the right Surgeon, She came across Dr, Kanayama Of New York Endometriosis, being one of the top Endo specialist & having amazing success. This is a more precise & more extensive surgery as they are going in, cutting out the disease, removing adhesions, all while sparing organ function & giving her the best chance possible.
Why we need to raise the funds?
Majority of specialists are not covered by state insurance & most endo patients have to seek out of network care. Putting themselves in debt because of surgery cost, hospital bills & travel expenses. This can be a 6-8 hour procedure depending on the severity of the case. The surgery deposit is $18,000 up-front the day of & that’s not including extra medical cost due to how long she’s on the table for. We have raised some funds but we still need 8,300 to go
If you can, please donate and share my story so Incan get on the table as soon as possible
