About this fundraiser

I'm reaching out because I've walked a path many don't talk about openly, and I believe that needs to change. I'm raising funds to create a lifeline for people struggling with substance use disorder in San Diego, starting with my own recovery journey and expanding to help others find their way to healing.

Addiction is isolating. It strips away your sense of belonging, making you feel like you're fighting alone in the dark. When I hit my lowest point, I realized that what I needed most wasn't judgment or shame, but connection. I needed to know that recovery was possible and that I didn't have to do it by myself.

That's what this fundraiser is about. The $30,000 I'm raising will help cover essential recovery resources, peer support connections, and community-building initiatives for people like me who are ready to change but lack access to the right support systems. This includes connecting people with counseling, facilitating support groups, and creating safe spaces where we can be honest about our struggles without fear.

Recovery isn't a destination, it's a journey. And journeys are so much easier when you have people walking beside you. By supporting this fundraiser, you're not just helping individuals recover, you're helping rebuild entire lives and strengthen our community.

I'm asking for your help because I believe everyone deserves a shot at recovery and the chance to find community on the other side of addiction.
