Hi, my name is Veronica Cruz, and l am currently facing one of the most difficult moments of my life. I am in urgent need of a liver transplant—a life-saving surgery that I cannot afford on my own.   I have an autoimmune disease that attacks my healthy liver cells, causing inflammation and liver failure.

I am hospitalized at the Medical City Transplant Institute Dallas. Every day is uncertain, and l am living with the reality that time is not on my side.

This fundraiser will directly benefit me, as I prepare for this transplant and the long road to recovery that follows. The funds will be used for the transplant procedure, lifelong medications to prevent organ rejection, and safe housing near the hospital so I can receive proper care before and after surgery.

I need this support as soon as possible. A liver transplant can happen at any moment, often with very little notice, and one must be ready to go immediately when that call comes. Without the necessary financial support, I may not be able to move forward with this lifesaving opportunity.
