My mother-in-law has been fighting a severe and life-altering health condition for over three years. In that time, she has lost 95% of her large intestine and has suffered extreme weight loss. We have been blessed to have her live with us so we could care for her as best as possible, but her health has recently declined, and she now urgently needs the level of support that only a Skilled Nursing Facility can provide around the clock.

Unfortunately, during her most recent hospitalization, she missed the deadline to renew her Medicaid coverage and lost it. We have begun the reapplication process, but we were told that she must be admitted to a long-term care facility for 30 consecutive days before we can apply for Medicaid assistance to help cover the cost of her care.

We are humbly asking for any help, thoughts, and prayers as we work toward our goal of $5,000 to cover the costs of four months in a long-term care facility. This will give us enough time to complete her Medicaid long-term care application so she can receive the support she desperately needs.
