September 26, 2024, a life changing day for everyone in my community. Hurricane Helene (CAT 4) destroyed the Tampa Bay, Florida coastline where I reside. I have lived in my home for over 18 yrs and have never experienced anything like that Thursday evening/night in September last year. I lost everything - we all lost everything. A situation I never want to relive. It’s been a long, hard road to recovery for me and while I have spent the last 14+ months slowly rebuilding and putting the pieces back together one by one I still am in need of a few major items to get back to some normalcy.

The majority of everything “structurally” has been complete - it’s other important items that are desperately needed, such as: a new water heater, a shattered window repaired/replaced, countertops in kitchen, 2 bathrooms and laundry room installed, garage door replacement, pillars out back that hold up my flat roof replaced as they have been ripped to shreds + some other minor repairs.

At this point, I have exhausted all other funds/funding, including my personal funds over the past year and everything has been at a standstill since October of this year.
