A few days ago, my world changed in an instant.

While we were out by the river, something attacked my two dogs, Luna and Lightning. At first, I didn’t realize how serious it was. It wasn’t until I got them home and cleaned them up that I discovered multiple bite wounds.

Lightning’s injuries were severe enough that she needed emergency surgery. Both girls have puncture wounds, are on medications, and now require constant care while they recover. Between cleaning wounds, giving medications, keeping them comfortable, and making sure they don’t reopen their injuries, caring for them has become a full-time job.

If you know me, you know my dogs are my family. They have been by my side through every season of my life, and seeing them scared and in pain has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced.

The emergency vet visits, surgery, medications, follow-up appointments, and ongoing care have created expenses that I wasn’t prepared for. I’m doing everything I can, but I could really use some help getting them through this.
