Hi everyone!

This isn’t something I’ve ever done before — but when someone as important as Jan needs help, you don’t think twice.

Jan is the amazing mother of my dear friend Jess, one of my bridesmaids and someone who has stood by me in life’s biggest moments. Jess and Jan have always faced the world together — their bond is unshakable. To Jess and Storm's kids, Jan is lovingly known as “Deary,” and it’s the title she holds closest to her heart.

Jan is someone who gives selflessly — whether that means showing up with love, support, or even making the groom’s cake at my wedding as gift (which was perfect, of course). She’s the kind of person who does things out of love, without ever asking for anything in return.

I’m reaching out to humbly ask for your support in helping my dear friend’s mother, Jan, as she faces a very difficult time. She is preparing for two knee surgeries and will also need extended hospital stays, physical rehabilitation, and home health care afterward. Recently, Jan experienced a serious medical emergency that led to a hospital stay, and now she faces a long road to recovery. This includes inpatient rehabilitation and upcoming surgery—care that is absolutely essential for her healing. Unfortunately, she was recently denied governmental assistance, and there is a very real possibility that her insurance will not cover her rehab stay, which makes this journey even more daunting as she is unable to work.

As you can imagine, the medical expenses for these procedures and the aftercare are overwhelming, and the financial burden has become more than the family can handle alone. Jan has always been someone who puts others first, offering kindness and compassion to everyone around her. Now, she is the one in need of compassion and assistance. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in easing the financial stress and allowing her to focus fully on her recovery and healing. If you aren’t able to contribute financially, your prayers, positive thoughts, and willingness to share this request with others would mean the world. Together, we can show Jan that she is not alone in this journey, and that she has a strong, caring community standing by her side.
