Save My Brother’s Foot – An Urgent Call for Medical Help

My name is Baraa Alawneh, and I am writing on behalf of my brother, Mohammad Alawneh, who is suffering from a rare and complex vascular condition in his foot that threatens his ability to walk — and possibly his foot itself.

Mohammad has been diagnosed with multiple congenital arteriovenous fistulas in his foot — abnormal connections between arteries and veins that are causing severe blood pooling, chronic pain, and recurrent ulceration. His condition has significantly worsened in recent months, making walking extremely painful and putting him at risk of losing his foot.

Despite seeking care at leading hospitals in Jordan, including the Royal Medical Services (King Hussein Medical Center), we were informed that catheter-based treatment is not currently possible due to the delicate and complex nature of the fistulas. This means he urgently needs specialized treatment abroad, in a facility capable of performing a combined surgical and interventional approach.

We have begun reaching out to advanced medical centers such as Mayo Clinic and UCHealth in the United States and have submitted all medical records and imaging.

🙏 We are asking for your help.
Your donation — no matter how small — could give Mohammad the chance to avoid amputation and reclaim his life.

How the funds will be used:

Travel and accommodation during treatment

Advanced medical diagnostics and evaluations

Surgical and/or interventional procedures

Post-operative care and rehabilitation

Even if you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign can make a tremendous difference and bring us one step closer to saving Mohammad’s foot.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Baraa Alawneh
