Hello, my name is James, and I'm humbly asking for your help during one of the most challenging times of my life. For years, I've worked hard in the metal fabrication and welding industry, but now, due to a series of serious health issues, I can no longer do the work I love. I’ve always been someone who took pride in being self-sufficient, but now I find myself in a position where I need to rely on the kindness of others.

I’m battling COPD, arthritis, asthma, and neuropathy in my legs, among other health issues. These conditions have made daily life incredibly difficult. Simple tasks that most people take for granted, like putting on my shoes, have become nearly impossible because of how hard it is to breathe. I pushed myself to keep working for as long as I could, but now my body just won’t let me continue.

The work I did for over 20 years exposed me to harmful fumes and gases, contributing to my COPD. Now, I’m in the long and uncertain process of applying for disability benefits, but that process takes time, and in the meantime, my bills keep coming.

The funds I’m hoping to raise will be used to cover my medical expenses—doctor visits, prescriptions, and the surgeries I may need. They’ll also help me keep up with basic living expenses like rent, utilities, and food while I’m unable to work.

I never imagined I’d be in a situation where I’d need to ask for help like this, but life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way.
