About this fundraiser

This fundraising post is about my Husband, He is a 46 yr old Parkinson's patient, he was diagnosed at 27 - getting around, has become increasingly challenging due to the complications, pain/discomfort or attention Parkinson's brings him if he ventues out of the house.   He chooses to stay home to avoid having to walk distances or being embarrassed by anyone who may comment on his gait or balance.  He is retired and disabled, but at 46 is still trying his best to participate in life things since we have 2 children that need their Dad to be mobile and present.   Even if insurance covers what they say they will.. we couldnt afford a mobility scooter that would suit his needs and size as a 6'2 guy.   When he was able he would volunteer to help, donate or give whatever was needed to help somebody if they asked or showed a need. It's disheartening that the programs and grants purposely for "disabilites" are intentionally complicated and difficult to get awarded if their 1000 contingencies aren't meant, that leaves a lot of people to fall through the cracks and their lives are worse off then if they could qualify for the help that is advertised for disabilities.

Thank you.
