This is my mom, Michelle. She is kind of awesome as far as mom’s go. She helped rescue me and is making sure I’m healthy and safe and never have to be scared. My mom found out a few weeks ago that she has breast cancer. Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. No one in our family has ever had breast cancer before and it was a shock to me, dad, and my big brothers and their fiancées. Mom has always worked so hard and she usually volunteers more hours than she works. She is a positive person whose faith is stronger than anyone I know. Since she got sick, she is tired and has a hard time doing everything she usually does. 

Ok, Dad’s turn… the first medical bills have started to come in and I am grateful insurance is covering a lot of it. The copays are way out of our league. We had a good savings that dwindled with some other issues we have faced. Michelle’s income has greatly been affected with her being sick. I am doing everything I can to work, take care of everything at home, make sure Michelle is comfortable and not doing more than she should (you know she doesn’t sit still well) and taking care of our 2 ½ year old who is struggling and relies on us to manage the things he deals with. 

It is hard to reach out for help, and we would have never considered it except for some friends insisting that we should set this up. It has hit that yes, our family needs help. Our bills are stacking up - I am worrying about our household expenses and being able to pay the insurance copays. Michelle is worrying about this and she is not supposed to be stressed right now. I expect this will be continue to be hard for the next few months while my wife has surgery and recovers. All I want is Michelle to be healthy. I NEED my wife to be ok. She is my life.  I don’t want her to worry about anything.  I THANK and PRAISE our Father every day for carrying us and I know He will protect us.
