Hello all. My name is Shlee and I am a single mom to 5 amazing kiddos. My beautiful 6 year old daughter Renesmee has been battling some difficult health stuff for the past few years and we have recently met with an Oncologist to try and figure out what exactly is going on with her. We have discovered that on top of her kidney disease she has a few different rare blood disorders that affect only 1% of the population. These affect her clotting abilities and her heart function. She also some things going on with her bone marrow that thy have yet to narrow down As well wait for more of her lab results and imaging to come in and be completed. Her Oncologist, medical team & I have made the choice to transfer her care to a more specialized & qualified hospital as she will need to begin some life long treatments to manage her conditions & may need to begin some chemotherapy & bone marrow replacement therapy. This hospital is in Madison WI which is 2 ½ hours from our home in Marshfield. As the sole provider for my family I currently work 3 jobs which I am going to need to be taking time off from which is why I have made the difficult decision to ask for some help. We will need to be traveling back and forth and possibly having some extended stays away from home where I will also need to pay for care for my other children while we are gone as well as stay on top of our everyday bills. It would mean so much to us and take a lot of stress off of me if we could get some help while we navigate this new and difficult journey ahead.
