I’m Scott Ware, 37 years old, living with Specific Antibody Deficiency, Idiopathic Pulmonary Hypertension (a terminal illness), MGUS, and multiple blood disorders. These conditions affect my immune system, heart, lungs, and blood, causing constant pain, severe fatigue, and life-threatening complications. Everyday tasks like walking, cooking, or even getting out of bed can feel impossible.

After losing my job and health insurance, I was forced to stop taking medications my body depends on. Each day without them increases my pain and puts my health—and my life—at risk.
Once a week and every week for the rest of my life I have to infuse medicine directly under my skin through a 2 hour injection process. These infusions take a lot out of me and are physically taxing on my body but I need them. I'm now going 2 months without them.
I haven't been able to afford my medication. l've already depleted all of my savings and most of my retirement money just to help us stay in our house. Every day without my medication is a struggle filled with pain, fatigue, and the constant fear of my health getting worse.
My life is on hold while I fight to stabilize my health and survive this chapter. Any support helps me focus on treatment, manage my conditions, and hold onto the future my fiancée and I were building together. Even sharing my story means more than you know.
Thank you for reading and for your compassion.
