About this fundraiser

Tracey is a devoted grandmother raising her two grandsons, Grayson (8) and Wolf (4), while facing a battle with colon cancer that has spread to her liver. Three months ago, Tracey’s life changed dramatically with her diagnosis, and she’s now on her sixth round of chemotherapy. The treatments are intense, requiring her to stay at her sister’s house for several days every two weeks, which is especially hard on Grayson and Wolf. Grayson, who is sensitive and loving, often asks Tracey not to leave for the hospital, and his relief when she returns home is a reminder of how much he needs her. Wolf, who has recently been diagnosed with autism and is not yet talking, struggles with the changes and cries when Tracey is away.

Financially, things have become overwhelming. Tracey had to move out of her apartment when the rent became unaffordable, and even in her new place, the monthly costs are a struggle. Day-to-day expenses, Wolf’s therapy, and the cost of medications to manage chemo side effects add up quickly. Some medications that could help with nausea are out of reach due to their high price, and Tracey’s heart condition limits her options further. Despite these challenges, her love for her grandsons keeps her going. She dreams of taking them to the pool and the movies—simple joys they used to share before her illness. With a three-week break from chemo for an upcoming surgery, Tracey hopes to create happy memories with Grayson and Wolf this summer and prepare her home for recovery.

Tracey is asking for support to help cover rent, daily expenses, Wolf’s therapy, and to give her grandsons a chance to enjoy their childhood during this difficult time. Every contribution will help Tracey focus on healing and being there for the boys
