  • An update on our daughter's ongoing leg trauma

Nicole was admitted to the hospital again last night, and they performed surgery on her leg. There was a raging infection, and they had to remove a lot of tissue. As a result, she had a rough night. If you could see the picture, you would understand why! It seems they may have to do two follow-up surgeries in the near future. This nightmare is really taking a toll on her. Please keep her in your prayers and keep sharing if you can. Thank you for all that you have done already.

About this fundraiser

  • Help our daughter Nicole Heal After a Horrific Halloween Accident

On the evening of 10/31, our eldest daughter was seriously injured in an accident that left her with deep wounds in her leg. Doctors placed 59 staples and 25 stitches. She already struggles with chronic leg issues that make healing slow and complicated, and we’re very worried about infection and long-term mobility problems.

She is currently without health insurance, and between emergency care, upcoming follow-up visits, wound care supplies, medications, and basic living costs (rent, food, utilities), she is in a situation she cannot recover from alone.

The doctors are unsure of the next steps, as they wait to see how she will begin to heal. I don’t know how long she will be unable to work.

We are humbly asking for help during one of the toughest times of our lives.  Anything you can give will make a meaningful difference in her recovery and our ability to get her back on her feet. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

We will post regular updates on recovery progress.

  • Please share this campaign with friends, family, and social media
  • Send messages of support — they mean a lot during recovery
  • If you know local resources (charities, clinics, pro bono care), please reach out (She lives in Portland, Oregon)
