I’m raising money because our water has been shut off, and I need help caring for my mother. I’m an only child, and my mom has recently been diagnosed with incurable plasma cell cancer. We’ve lived in this house my whole life—it’s our home, our history—but lately, everything has gotten overwhelming.

The bills have piled up. Our electricity and heating costs are in the thousands, but the most urgent is our water bill, which we simply can’t afford right now. The water is off, and trying to provide care for my mother in these conditions is heartbreaking and nearly impossible.

I’m doing this alone, and asking for help is hard—but we need it. Any support you can give would mean the world to us and help bring some relief and dignity back into our home.

I would also like to add we do not qualify for help from a local Community action program north through the local church charities. They only help with a small percentage of the bill. And in our case bill is currently over $1300.
