Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago, I took Owen to urgent Care for an aggressive cough and an X-ray unexpectedly revealed a mass in his chest. After countless amounts of testing, surgery, and pathology, he was diagnosed with ganglioneuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. Most of the tumor was removed, but a portion remains in his spine and into his neck where it wasn’t safe to operate.

Because this cancer is rare and complex, we are traveling to New York City for a second opinion with a nationally recognized neuroblastoma specialist. This evaluation will include advanced imaging, a full pathology review, molecular DNA testing, guidance on the safest next steps for Owen’s care and additional resources unavailable to us in our local hospital.

The past few weeks have brought unexpected medical expenses, and this trip comes with additional costs for flights, lodging, meals, and other medical-related needs. Many of you have asked how you can help, and after prayer and encouragement from friends and family, we decided to create a donation page.
