After months of thanks but no thanks, I got an offer after my third interview and happily accepted. It's a small, family owned company and they were fully impressed. I have orientation April 3rd and my shifts will be scheduled upon completion. I'm really excited and nervous but the hard part is over. Once I get a set schedule and everything falls into place, we'll be alright.

Now is when we really need your help. Please share if you haven't, or share to your various socials. This is where we really need our village to come together. I realize it's asking a lot but any bit helps.

About this fundraiser

After a long illness, Navy veteran Paul Fish Sr. passed away peacefully at Mercy in Des Moines with his sons around him. As we suffer the loss of a beloved man, the financial burden of his final wishes has fallen on our shoulders. Any donated funds would be used for cremation and to give us a cushion to bounce back from as we rebuild our lives in his absence.

We were able to work with the VA to cover $2000, but the funeral home would need to be paid before they will release his remains. It may take up to 6 months for us to be compensated.
