My name is Chelsea Myles  and I have been in an out of the hospital  for most of my life. when I was in 8th grade I was diagnosed with a rare neurological condition called Hemiplegic Migraine. It’s a medical condition where it looks like seizure but it ends with stroke like symptoms. Then when I was 17 years old, my whole family got really sick. But for some reason my body decided to take that sickness internally. I almost died because of my lipase levels were so high. I was diagnosed with pediatric pancreatitis. It came back when I was 19 years old and again I almost died because my lipase levels were too high but this time I was told that I had a 50/50 chance of developing diabetes later in life. Well the doctor who told me that was absolutely correct. I found out I was a Type 2 diabetic on March 11th, 2022.  My Life has been a complete roller coaster.  Due to a really unfortunate situation I no longer have the insurance that I had before where I was barely making it by as well as barely being able to afford my Type 2 diabetes medication. Now I have a new insurance that’s absolutely terrible and I can’t even afford the $5,000 deductible. I can’t afford my doctors appointments anymore and with my medical conditions I go to a lot of them. I can’t even afford my medication. I haven’t had my Type 2 diabetic meds since maybe the beginning of February. I’ve gone into $1,061.72  into medical debt so far with my medical bills. I also have these weird bumps on my foot that popped up out of nowhere in January that my doctors are saying is very uncommon and I still need to get treatment for that as well so my bill is still going to go up. If I could somehow pay off my medical bills that I owe now and I could pay off my $5,000 deductible. It will help me so much financially because after I pay my deductible then my insurance will pay for 100% of my appointments and my medications and I would be able to get my hemiplegic migraine and type 2 diabetes medication that I so desperately need.
