About this fundraiser

Hi, my name is Malinda, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to read my story.

As someone who’s never been great at asking for help, this is difficult for me. However, life has pushed me into a corner, and I’m reaching out with hope and faith that someone out there will understand.

Over the past seven years, I’ve faced four company-wide layoffs—two from the same company due to mergers. Each time, I’ve worked hard to recover, only to find myself back at square one financially. It’s been a painful, exhausting cycle. Now, I’m determined to break free and take control of my future.

I want to start my own medical courier business. I believe in hard work and self-reliance, and being my own boss means I won’t have to live in fear of another layoff. It also gives me the chance to help people and hospitals that need medical items and supplies quickly. I can also hire others who are struggling to find stable work like I am.

I’ve already tried joining courier companies that let you use your own vehicle, but my SUV—though in great condition—is from 2002. These companies won’t accept it because it’s older than 2015, even though it has under 160,000 miles and runs well.

That’s why I’m here, humbly asking for your help.

I need a reliable used sprinter van (488–532 cubic feet, medium or high roof) so I can take on larger delivery jobs and grow my business faster. I’m seeking to raise $25,000 to purchase the van, cover essential startup costs, and hire help so I can start generating income quickly.

On top of this, I’m fighting to keep my family home. My parents passed away, and I live in the house they worked so hard to provide. I’ve done everything I can to hold on to it—depleting my 401K, selling stocks, maxing out credit cards—but I’m down to my last month of living expenses. I don’t know how I’ll pay the mortgage in July. Losing this house would break my heart. It’s not just a place to live—it’s my last tie to my parents and everything they built.

Right now, I don’t have anyone else to turn to. That’s why I’m turning to you.

If you can donate, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you can share my story with others, that means the world to me too. Every bit of support brings me closer to independence, stability, and the ability to help others in need.

Thank you so much for reading and for caring.
