Today, I am coming with a heavy heart to ask for your support.  I never ask for any financial assistance as I have always strived to be an independent individual and help others when it is needed.

Here is what happened yesterday morning:

Unexpectedly, my mom suffered a series of cardiac arrests and is now in the intensive-care unit in critical but stable condition.  She has been surrounded by skilled medical professionals, myself, and my sister.  Me and my sister have been alternating shifts in coordination with our work schedules to be with our mother while she is in the hospital.  From what we are seeing and hearing from the nurses right now, the road ahead will be very challenging and long.

This sudden health crisis has left my mom facing enormous emotional and financial strain.  This includes burgeoning hospital bills as well as ongoing care and recovery costs.

I am raising funds to support the following:

-Medical expenses not covered by insurance

-Intensive-Care Unit and Specialist Care

-Recovery and Rehabilitation Support

-Medication not covered by insurance.  

Every donation will go directly to my mom’s care and help ease the burden on me and my sister during this difficult and trying time.  My mom has never had any major health issues, so this was definitely an unexpected event that has taken huge toll on her overall physical health.

It has been really painful and heartbreaking to see my mother in the condition that she is in right now.  Even if you are unable to donate, I would appreciate it if you took the time to share it with your network of contacts.
