  • Update!

    As of today, we’re a week post accident and while Kyle’s pain is managed, he has a long road ahead of him.

    His first Neuro Follow up is on Monday and will give us a better idea of what’s ahead. It’s likely that with the symptoms he’s experience and the injuries that occurred that this could be a 6-12 month recovery period. Severe TBI with skull fractures is not a small feat to overcome.

    We’re still working with campus PD to find out what exactly happened, and trying to coordinate care with the hospitals and doctors to get him Medicaid and on the road to a full recovery.

    Yesterday was Kyle’s birthday and we were able to celebrate him (quietly) at home with his girlfriend who came to visit. Loaded baked potatoe soup and brownies at Kyle’s request. See him pre candle blow out with his cane (walking aid to help with vertigo/dizziness)

    Thank you for your support, both financially and in prayer. This is a hard journey he’s one, but one that is not without hope.

    Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions about use of these funds or how to support him in another way.

About this fundraiser

On May 20, 2026, I was in a serious E-Bike accident while on my way to work. Because of the injuries I sustained, I have memory loss and still do not know what caused the accident. I suffered multiple skull fractures along with a brain bleed.

Right now, I am unable to work while I recover. There are many upcoming medical appointments and ongoing expenses ahead, and I could use help covering day-to-day bills during this season. I am incredibly thankful to be staying with a former SCR employee and her husband, who have graciously opened their home to me, but there are still financial needs as I focus on healing and eventually getting back on my feet.

Any support, whether through prayer or financial assistance, would mean more than I can say. I am deeply grateful to the Lord for protecting my life and giving me a new perspective as I work toward healing, recovery, and rebuilding my independence.

If you have questions or want to give in another capacity, please text: 512-786-4817

Thank you!

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
