Hello:  I am fundraising for myself. I am a retired secretary on disability due to a recurrence of colon cancer that has been diagnosed as stage 4. I was in a car accident a few weeks ago and totaled my car and got a fractured vertebrae in that accident. Due to debt that I have, the settlement for my car went to a bank to pay on a loan that I used the car as collateral for. Because of that I do not have the funds or the best credit to finance a car that will allow me to get to all of my doctor and treatment appointments. I won’t be able to drive for a few more weeks yet due to my back injury and while I have a great support system, I cannot keep burdening them to help me find rides. I need a car to get myself to all my appointments once I am able to drive again and will be extremely grateful for any help that I can get. I’m asking for the amount that had I not had that loan, would have gotten myself. I know I can find a car that will work for me with these funds but any amount will help.
