We met Sahil Kumar Gautam on February 5, 2025, during a recent pilgrimage to India and Nepal for the Buddha’s most important life events, which continued until February 22nd. He and a family member were our bus transport on 2,000+ miles through Northwestern India, beginning in Varansi/Sarnath and ending in Lucknow. During this time, with many stops, safely assisting us on and off of the bus, carrying and storing water for easy access during our travels, loading and unloading luggage, this young man captivated our attention and warmed our hearts. Humble, selflessly assisting in many aspects of the day-to-day activities, hard-working, kind ... and look at that smile and those eyes ... compassion and so very present.
We learned that he wants to be a restaurant owner, but needs to complete testing from 10th, then levels 11 and 12. He is almost 20 years old. He lives in Varansi. We want to support his educational pursuits which will give him a greater chance of success and a wholesome living. We would like to invite you to support him as well. He’s the oldest of four brothers. Sahil, therefore, has the responsibility to assist his parents and siblings as they all get older. Acts of kindness don’t have to be random. They can be intentional and often. Let’s empower this young man and make a difference in many lives by so doing. Please support our GoFundMe for Sahil Kumar Gautam.
