About this fundraiser

I was hit by a careless driver at 80  miles per hour as I sat in traffic, that has left me disabled. The injuries I sustained were severe and fundamentally altered my ability to perform everyday tasks, let alone maintain employment.

The physical pain and limitations are matched by emotional and psychological challenges. I lost my job that day, I lost my car, and now my home.  I had a pretty good stash of cash in savings for retirement.  About 63,000. I have sustained myself with no income for 17 months. Now it’s all gone.

As of yesterday, I am officially homeless and my furybabies and I are in a hotel for 125.00 nightly.  That’s cheap for out here in San Francisco. I have enough food for a few days.

Due to a dishonest and greedy attorney, I could not gain financially from the accident. One might think that there are charities that you can go to.  Think again.  I’m living it, and they only want to give you a shelter so they can tell the government that the homeless population is under control.

I have decided to give up on my dreams in my career and go find work doing anything. The problem is I’m still hurt, I have no car, and the worse thing is that I’m 64.  No one wants to hire me. This is my last idea.  I’m all tapped out.

If I can raise enough for the hotel room for a month, I intend to postpone surgeries and work at anything I can find to rebuild my life.  If I receive any help at all, I will at least know that people are usually kind and caring.  I just was dealt a bad bunch there for a while.  My furbabies and I would be forever grateful!
