About this fundraiser

Dear Friends and Family,

I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out to share a special fundraising initiative to support Holly, who is living with POTS, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and chronic migraines.  She was recently diagnosed by the Texas A&M medical team and has been told that her symptoms will continue to worsen.  These conditions can make daily life incredibly challenging, and a service dog could provide essential assistance and companionship.

A trained service dog can help Holly with tasks like retrieving medications, providing stability while walking, alerting her to high heart rates which cause her to faint, or alerting her to oncoming migraines. This invaluable partnership can greatly enhance Holly's quality of life and independence.

We’re aiming to raise $18,000 to cover the costs of training and care for the service dog. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference.

Her diagnosis of Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) came as a shock.  She has been put on medication to regulate her heart rate, but her rate is still rapidly changing by the second (45-175 BPM).  She is dealing with lightheadedness (occasionally with fainting), difficulty thinking and concentrating (brain fog), fatigue, intolerance of exercise, headache, blurry vision, palpitations, tremor and nausea.  She has also been diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.  Ehlers Danlos causes chronic pain, fatigue, digestive issues, and dizziness.  You can only imagine what a double whammy this was for her.

If you’d like to support this cause, please consider donating at [insert donation link] or sharing this message with others who might be interested.

Thank you for your kindness and support!  Prayers would also be appreciated.
