My journey started on 9-01-2025. I have been a hairstylist for 40 years and the abuse on my body finally came out. I have numerous issues with my left shoulder and have continued working, it is very painful but I love my clients and working. Advice from my Drs is reverse shoulder surgery. Recovery is about 8 weeks to be able to cut hair anyway. Therefore I will have no income and am asking for some help to get me thru it. It is very hard for me to do so but if I want to continue working for many many more years I see no alternative.  

Hi everyone, my name is Cheril, and I’m an independent hairstylist here in The Colony, Texas. I’ve loved every moment of doing hair and getting to know so many of you over the years — it truly brings me joy.

I’ll be out of work for about eight weeks while I recover from shoulder surgery. My insurance will cover the medical side, but being self-employed means I won’t have any income during this time.

I’ve set up this page for anyone who wants to offer a little support while I focus on healing and getting back behind the chair. Your encouragement, kind words, or donations — no matter the size — mean so much to me.
