About this fundraiser

Scared and alone, Falcon was seen wandering a neighborhood for nearly a week — a gentle soul with nowhere to go. Concerned neighbors watched over him day after day, sensing that this sweet, frightened boy wasn’t a stray by choice. It was clear he had been left behind and was simply searching for safety, comfort, and someone to care.

One compassionate neighbor was especially moved by Falcon. She shared that his soft, pleading eyes left an indelible mark on her heart. Though she longed to bring him inside, her home was already full of pets. Determined to help him somehow, she reached out to animal control. Together, with patience and kindness, they slowly earned Falcon’s trust and finally brought him to safety.

Once at animal control, staff immediately noticed what a gentle and loving dog Falcon was. Though understandably scared by the loud, unfamiliar shelter environment, he showed zero aggression and allowed a full medical evaluation without resistance. That exam revealed signs of the hardship he had endured while surviving on his own outdoors. Sadly, no owner ever came forward to claim him.

What made Falcon’s situation even more heartbreaking was something completely beyond his control. Two months earlier, a raccoon in the same area where Falcon was found had tested positive for rabies. Due to strict public health laws, Falcon was required to undergo a four-month rabies quarantine — despite showing no symptoms and having done nothing wrong.

Because of the length, cost, and logistical challenges of this mandated quarantine, Falcon was scheduled for euthanasia. A life reduced to a devastating technicality — simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

At the very last moment, a small group of devoted volunteers refused to let his story end that way. They stepped in and saved Falcon’s life. But saving him required more than love alone — it required safe, professional housing for the duration of his quarantine.

We are profoundly grateful to Dr. Gangadin of Deer Creek Animal Hospital, whose compassion truly changed Falcon’s fate. When time had run out and Falcon had nowhere else to go, she said yes. By agreeing to board Falcon throughout his quarantine, she became his lifeline and gave him a chance when all hope seemed lost.

During quarantine, Falcon must have minimal public contact and requires carefully controlled daily walks, making professional veterinary boarding the safest and only viable option.

Time and funding are critical.

To keep Falcon safe and alive through the remainder of his quarantine, we urgently need continued community support. Boarding and daily care costs add up quickly, and every dollar raised goes directly toward ensuring Falcon’s safety, comfort, and well-being so he can survive this difficult chapter and move on to the happy life he deserves.

Please consider helping us save Falcon’s life. If you’re unable to donate, sharing his story can be just as powerful.

Once Falcon completes his quarantine in mid-March 2026, we promise to find him the loving family he has always deserved — and this painful chapter will become nothing more than a distant memory.

We just need your help to get him there. 🐾💙

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,

Sincerely, Jaime
