  • This Old Squatch Hs Cancer

Well hello all please read the new story on this fundraiser. Patrick aka Squatch has cancer and will be starting Chemo soon. Thank you all for your continued support.

About this fundraiser

Well now that this old Squatch has stage 4 prostate cancer spreading to my bones.  I have been seeking treatment at The Fred Hucthenson Cacner Research Center (Fred Hutch) in Seattle. I have to say the care there has been wonderful. My care team is empathic to my personal needs. I feel lucky to live where I live. This type of cancer has been researched more than most cancers because it’s a dude cancer, of course, which makes it very treatable. I was waiting to tell everyone once we knew the whole picture.

I started hormonal treatment for the cancer immediately while I awaited the results of all the scans. I received the final results about a week an ago, and they are recommending I do six rounds of chemotherapy.  After some thought and discussion with my wife, I have decided to go ahead with Chemo. I will be getting a deep bone biopsy on December 4th then starting chemo on the 16th. The Chemo treatment will then be every three weeks until the six rounds are complete.

These past few months have been tough for both my wife and I. I don’t know what I would have done without her. She is my moon guiding me through this. She has been there when I am sad and being down on myself and especially when I’ve been angry. I know she will fight this with me. I couldn’t ask for a better partner in this situation. I love you, Moon.

Along with the cancer diagnoses, my L&I claim is still a battle so finically we have been strapped. I cannot and will not go into the details of that here and with chemo coming up, I am going to be out of work for a while. I am working on a few things to hopefully generate some income. If anyone wants to have me Game Master for them for one shots or over-arching campaigns, I’m your Squatch!  With that, we have decided to reopen this fundraiser. We wouldn’t ask unless we needed it.  We know times are tough for a lot of us right now but every little bit helps. We are also doing a fundraising party in White Center at the Lariat bar.  I may or may not lose my hair with the chemo, but I have always wanted a mohawk so I’m going to shave one in! Fuck it!

Thank you for all in advance, we appreciate it. There isn’t much to do now but to live. To live everyday as much as I can. I have my art to keep me busy and hope for my future. This old Squatch isn’t going anywhere.
