My name is Jessica, and I am a close friend of Summer’s family. I’m here to try and ease some of the pain and burden they’re facing right now. Tuesday night, Summer went out to enjoy the Sporting KC game with her family, but tragically, she was struck by a car. She was rushed to the hospital, where the doctors and nurses did everything they could, but God had different plans for her. On Wednesday evening, surrounded by her loved ones, Summer went to be with God, her dad, and the other family members who had gone before her.

Summer was just beginning her senior year of high school, eagerly looking forward to her graduation in December. She had plans to travel to France to spend time with her brother before pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse at Research Medical Center. She was full of life, filled with dreams, and loved deeply by everyone who knew her. Summer’s heart belonged to her family and friends, but her niece Adriana and her nephew Adonis were her true joys.

I ask for your prayers, that God may grant peace and acceptance to this grieving family. And if you can find it in your heart to donate, it would mean everything to us. The funds will go towards covering Summer's memorial remembrance TBD, and helping with financial needs during this unimaginable time.
