Hello, my name is Jessica and I'm trying to raise money for my dog's Dorsal Laminectomy surgery. My dog's name is Lola; she is 4½ years old and she has Lumbosacral Disease. Lola belonged to my best friend who sadly passed away 2 years ago. No one wanted to keep Lola, so I adopted her. I didn't know she was going to have this condition. She can't jump in the car or on the couch anymore. She suffers a lot of pain in her back. Sometimes I can't even pet her on her lower back because she starts whining. She struggles to get up sometimes, and it just hurts me to see her suffer like this. She is always so happy to see me, and when I get home, I see how much she struggles to get up. Seeing her put so much effort limping towards me makes me cry sometimes because no animal should suffer this way. My family wants me to euthanize her, but she belonged to my best friend who's gone forever. Lola is all I have left from her. I don't want to lose her. I'm trying to do the most I can to help Lola with her condition. I've taken her to the vet where they took X-rays and noticed that there's nerve compression in her spine. That's when Lola was diagnosed. The doctor said that as time passes, her Lumbosacral Disease can get worse, leading to her dragging her back legs and possibly not being able to control when she poops or urinates. I really want to do as much as I can for her. I'm trying to raise money for her surgery and care for her recovery. Any donation would help so much. Veterinary costs are so expensive. Me and Lola would be grateful, so she can live the rest of her dog years like every happy pet deserves.
