Dear friends and supporters of Kate and Grant,

After an emergency abdominal surgery about 2 months ago, Kate, our bright light, was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic colon cancer. She started her chemo treatments and, along with her deeply committed partner Grant, they are navigating complex medical appointment schedules and an  emotional landscape of financial uncertainties – all while having less energy and/or availability to work.

This all is adding up quickly – bills and living costs remain the same, while healthcare costs have escalated and their income as small business owners decreases. Even with full health insurance coverage, which Kate and Grant have, the costs associated with cancer treatment are astronomical. 

Kate and Grant need our help right now with their mounting medical bills and we feel that we can also provide some sustaining support throughout this process. Kate is taking on cancer with the strength of a prizefighter. We want to help alleviate the financial stress of this illness.
