When we retired to the midwest we thought we would be fine on Social Security. Now it doesn't look that way as the co-pay for treating the high-risk cancer I have been diagnosed with exceeds the monthly Social Security deposit. It is difficult having to do this, but Dr Shaio says that if I do not accept the treatment the cancer will spread, making things far more difficult and painful.
