First off I want to say thank you to everybody for reading this post. My friend Sandy is such a wonderful person that unfortunately has been diagnosed a few years ago with breast cancer, tumors are now on her brain. She is currently in the hospital and was told by the doctors that they were going to try three days of radiation and unfortunately her Medicaid through SSDI will not cover the cost because they say she’s so advanced that it would be considered experimental. Sandy is not asking for funds for any type of treatment. She is more worried about the family that she’s going to be staying with because they already have three small children and she does not want to cause them any type of financial burden. She lives in a rural area and needs to stay in town to be close to the hospital, the family that she’s going to be staying with are NOT telling her that she needs to cover her own expenses. This is just her being concerned that she is going to pay an extra cost. Any amount would be so appreciated because every penny adds up.
