About this fundraiser

We Humbly ask you to please read until the end!    On September 26, 2025, just two days before her 63rd birthday, our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Brenda Jane Kassaw, passed away. Born on September 28, 1962, she lived a life full of love, family, and faith. She leaves behind a family that misses her dearly and wants to honor her memory in the way she deserves.

We’ve been trying for years to get closer to Pennsylvania to be with her, but sadly, she passed sooner than expected. While she has been cremated, we are now working hard to hold a memorial service for her in Pennsylvania and also bring part of her remains back to Arkansas so she can rest near her mother.

We know that $13,000 sounds like a lot, and we’ve worked to keep the costs down as much as possible. But between travel to Pennsylvania, temporary lodging, the memorial itself, and then bringing her remains back to Arkansas, the expenses are significant. Realistically, it will probably cost more, but we believe we can make it work with $13,000.

We are a low-income family and simply cannot do this on our own. Just last year, I nearly lost my life after spending two weeks in the ICU with severe pancreatitis, three chest tubes, and a long recovery where I couldn’t even walk. My husband has been my rock through it all—working hard, caring for me, and holding our family together. He is the best man I know, and he deserves the chance to honor his mother properly.

We are humbly asking for any help—whether it’s a donation of any size, sharing this fundraiser with others, or even just passing it along to someone who might be able to help. Every little bit brings us closer to giving Brenda Jane Kassaw the memorial she deserves.

I also want to say: I understand people have doubts about fundraisers online. If anyone has questions or needs to validate our story, I am here and willing to answer, even with medical records or direct communication. Your trust means everything to us, and we want you to know that your support will truly go toward honoring Brenda Jane Kassaw.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting us during this difficult time.

With love and gratitude,
Chad, Amy,& Kyliegh, Montgomery, Cree Kassaw
