A Little Help Along My Journey 🤍🎓

I’ve gone back and forth about making this post because, truthfully, I don’t like asking for help. I’m usually the person who figures things out, keeps pushing, and makes a way—even when things are hard.

But right now, I need a little help.

I’m currently working toward becoming an RN, and I’m doing everything I can to further my career and create a better, more financially secure life for my children, Ethan and Omari, and myself.

I’m hoping to raise $5,500 to help cover the costs associated with starting and completing my first semester, including:

🎓 Tuition
📚 Books & required materials
👩🏽‍⚕️ Uniforms & clinical necessities
🚗 Travel expenses

My program does not offer scholarships, grants, or similar financial assistance to first-semester RN students, so I’m responsible for these expenses myself.

And this journey is going to require a lot of sacrifice. I’ll be traveling approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes each way to school—about 2 hours and 30 minutes round trip—while continuing to work full-time.

Yes, I have a full-time job. ❤️ But right now, my income is primarily covering our necessities—housing, utilities, food, transportation, and the everyday expenses that come with raising my children. There simply isn’t enough left over to cover the additional cost of starting nursing school.

As a single mother, I know what it means to keep going when things are difficult. I’m not asking because I’ve given up. I’m asking because I’m still pushing forward.

I’m working hard to build a career that will give me greater opportunities, stability, and the ability to make life easier for Ethan, Omari, and myself.

I’m not used to being the one who needs help. But I’m learning that sometimes strength looks like allowing people to help you while you continue doing the work.
