For ten years, Christy has been a beacon of hope for anyone with chickens. She rescues birds in need, shares her knowledge freely, and helps others care for their flocks. She was that person for me.
When mountain fires took nine of my fourteen chickens, Christy didn't hesitate. She guided me through treating and caring for Phoenix, one of my burned girls. Phoenix is still with us today—a living reminder of what Christy does for our community.
Now Christy needs us. She's living in temporary housing with her horses and Clyde, her goose. Her entire flock needs a permanent home. I'm raising funds to help her secure housing where she can keep her birds together. Every contribution brings her closer to the stability she deserves.
