EspañolMy nephew, Andrew, is 30 years old and was diagnosed with heart failure. It was discovered that he has to have open heart surgery to remove calcium build up in his pericardial sac. This is the sac around the heart. This calcium build up has been restricting his heart thus leading to the heart failure. It has also affected his liver function. He had to spend 3 weeks in the hospital and wont be able to go back to work for several months. His surgery is scheduled for later in March and he will have need to recover for 3 mos post surgery.
