Help Roy Hinojosa Fight Cancer — No One Fights Alone

There are moments in life when friendship means more than words. It means standing beside someone when the road becomes difficult, carrying some of the weight when it becomes too heavy, and reminding them that they are not fighting alone.

Today, that person is our dear friend Roy Hinojosa.

Roy is once again facing a battle with throat cancer. It is a battle that requires tremendous strength, courage, patience, and faith. The treatments, procedures, appointments, medications, recovery, and everything that comes with fighting cancer can take an enormous physical and emotional toll.

And unfortunately, the financial burden can become overwhelming as well.

As Roy focuses his strength and energy on his treatment and recovery, we believe the last thing he and his family should have to carry alone is the worry of how they will manage the expenses that come with this fight.

That is why we Louay Charara,  Maria Hinojosa, Hector Burnias, Dr. Jose Enriquez Perez, Ricardo Adobatti, Viro Cardenas, Mark Clive, along with many of Roy’s friends and loved ones have come together to create this GoFundMe and stand beside him.

Our goal is to raise $60,000 to help Roy and his family through this difficult chapter.

The funds are intended to help ease the financial pressure associated with Roy’s treatment and recovery, including medical and treatment-related expenses, procedures, medications, travel and transportation when necessary, recovery needs, and everyday expenses that can become difficult to manage while undergoing intensive treatment.

But this fundraiser represents something bigger than a number.

It is about showing Roy that his community is fighting alongside him.

Many of us know Roy as a friend, a family man, and someone who has shared good times, conversations, laughter, and memories with the people around him. Now, during one of the most challenging periods of his life, we have an opportunity to return that friendship and support.

We know that $60,000 is an ambitious goal. But when a community comes together, a large burden can become thousands of smaller acts of kindness.

$20 helps. $50 helps. $100 helps. $500 helps. Every single contribution matters.
