Help Me Return Home and Rebuild My life

I am reaching out to ask for help during one of the most difficult periods of my life. 

 I am being forced to return to Haiti despite the serious security situation and ongoing gang violence affecting many communities.

 I have been trying to prepare myself financially, but my work permit and my non-domiciled CDL was revoked last year, which prevented me from continuing to work and save money for my future. Since then, I have struggled to keep up with my bills and everyday living expenses. 

I have done my best to get through this situation, but I am now facing the reality of returning to Haiti without the financial resources I need to start over. 

 I am a truck driver by profession, and I hope to use my skills and experience to find work when I return. However, because employment opportunities are limited and the situation in Haiti is extremely difficult, I am asking for help raising $10,000. The money would help me safely settle after returning and give me the opportunity to start a small business or support myself while I search for employment. 

My goal is not to live off donations. My goal is to have enough of a foundation to rebuild my life, become self-sufficient, and provide for myself through honest work. 

 I understand that there are government programs offering assistance with travel and financial support for people returning to their countries. However, I am uncomfortable depending entirely on assistance that I may or may not receive, and I want to be prepared for the possibility that I will arrive in Haiti with very limited resources. 

 Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to me. If you cannot donate, simply sharing my fundraiser with friends, family, or your community would also be a tremendous help. I never imagined I would find myself in this position, and asking for financial help is not easy. I am simply asking for an opportunity to return home with some stability and a chance to rebuild my life.
