My mom, Donna, has been diagnosed with a degenerative eye disease that is slowly taking her vision. Watching her navigate the world as her sight fades has been one of the hardest things our family has experienced. She's always been so independent, and I can see how much this change weighs on her.
Right now, our biggest concern is keeping her safe at home. As her vision continues to decline, simple things like moving through hallways, climbing stairs, or getting in and out of the house have become risky. A fall could be devastating, and we want to do everything we can to prevent that.
We're raising funds to install guide bars throughout her home and make the entrances more accessible. These modifications will give her the confidence to move around safely and help her maintain her independence for as long as possible. It means so much to her to stay in the home she loves, and with these changes, we can make that possible while keeping her protected.
If you're able to contribute, we are deeply grateful. Your support will directly help us create a safer environment for my mom during this difficult time. Thank you for caring about Donna and our family.
