Hi everyone, my name is Ashley Marie Ramirez aka Cookie, and my husband and I are reaching out for your support during one of the most challenging times of our lives. In May 2025, I received a devastating diagnosis of endometrial cancer while we were family planning. The past weeks and months have been a whirlwind of appointments, hospital stays, multiple blood transfusions, cardiac tests, Endometrial biopsies, and harsh new realities accompanied by difficult decisions. 

February 2026 I've had my 6 month post surgery oncology appointment and now there is more to fight in my lymphs to fight, treat, and heal from. Sadly this has all exacerbated my Crohn's disease to the severity of needing surgery as well now. We just found out today.

 My treatment plan involved initially expensive medicines, a full hysterectomy with some lymph node removal  surgery inpatient to monitor my heart post op for a few days,. While I'm incredibly grateful for the medical team caring for me and your prayers and well wishes, the financial burden of all this is quickly becoming overwhelming. Despite having insurance, the co-pays for my care are substantial. In addition, I'm facing significant out-of-pocket costs for critical medications, like Entresto with no generic that is building up my heart strength and a powerful yet costly drug at $846.62 per 30 day supply amongst other meds which are essential for my treatment plan, recovery, and ongoing well-being due to getting to a weak 30% capacity due to do much blood loss and working hard to keep my organs from failing.

 These costs alone are estimated to be thousands of dollars per month. Beyond the direct medical costs, my ability to work has been severely impacted by the treatments and my recovery. This has put additional strain on our ability to cover essential living expenses like rent, utilities, and groceries now. I'm starting this  Give A Hand Medical Fundraiser to help alleviate some of this financial stress that remains from this battle.

Funds raised will go directly towards: * My upcoming surgery on my birthday if we can raise the funds for the amount my insurance is not covering at this time.* Prescription medications not fully covered by insurance.Any contribution, will make a profound difference and be met with immense gratitude.  Contributing and sharing my campaign with your amongst your social media and in any way you can would also be incredibly helpful.
