After exiting an abusive relationship in 2024 and losing their previous camper home, Emily & Dulcinea began rebuilding life in Iowa City, IA. In the spring of 2026 Emily and Dulcinea were just catching their stride when Emily was unexpectedly terminated from both George's Buffet and Greenhouse. The State of Iowa's Workforce Development department found Emily was illegitimately terminated from both locations and she is in the process of receiving some unemployment compensation. 

With rent prices unexpectedly increasing 20%, new rental and adequate work options were becoming limited. The wind was calling and nature focused living was drawing Emily and Dulcinea back to the woods and prairie. Full-time camper living is familiar to this family. They were traveling campground hosts in 2021 to 2024. Saurya & Dulcinea never wanted to leave the camper lifestyle but family separation and pressure from extended family had these two living unauthentically for long enough.

5 year old Dulcinea begins nature-based homeschool kindergarten this fall and 35 year old Emily is a virtual/in-person accountability and fitness coach, meditation teacher and pole fitness coach. This past Spring Emily recently adopted a new name to honor a new chapter of personal growth and alignment in her life. She requests family and friends refer to her as Saurya (pronounced Soar-yuh) as a lifelong reminder of her Spiritual journey. 

Saurya and Dulcinea must downsize belongings to fit into a camper full time by the end of July 2026. Funds raised from downsizing will also be used to fund the transition to this lifestyle. Organic farm- work to park opportunities, hosting campgrounds around the midwest and local Iowa City campground hopping are some avenues being explored. Any known free parking or work-for-parking options are welcome! 

Help these two sweethearts return to their dream lifestyle, avoid homelessness, and return to their life's mission as Nature Caretakers. Funds raised will be used to purchase a camper and a towing vehicle. Saurya, Dulcinea, and their kitty bros- Vishnu & Acuda, are looking for a small nomadic home that will be easy to haul and maneuver.
