Hi, my name is Amey and I have been sick for my whole life, but the last six years have gotten worse. I’ve had major surgeries, I’ve had feeding tubes, and I’ve had TPN. All of those things kept me alive, but also in the hospital because my body rejected it over and over again. It became very miserable. As of right now, there is nothing anyone else can do, I’m dying. I am malnourished as well as dehydrated. The malnourishment is making my teeth fall out and the dentist said there’s nothing that can be done. My hair is also falling out in clumps. I am very unsteady on my feet and have fallen several times even using a cane. Our house is not set up for a Walker but we’re going to try to get it set up for that to offer me some stability. However, I do have one last wish, and that is to be able to travel and say goodbye to family members that aren’t close or friends that were closer than family and they are not close to where I live. I know it might be asking too much, but I’m not asking for money to fix my teeth when I’m going to be dying anyway. I’m not asking for money to pay the bills, even though that would be smarter. I don’t wanna have a celebration of life after I’m gone. I wanna be able to celebrate with those closest to me on my terms. I am so grateful for those around me who live shown love and support. I just want one last chance to spend time with those people who means so much to me while I have any strength left at all. Again, I might be asking too much but any little amount helps.
