I was born in South America and caught polio in 1978, a year after i was born. I was an orphan and was adopted when i was 7 and the polio almost killed me but the doctors did everything they could which was a miracle because I was only left with a really bad right leg which was shorter and weekend by the virus. I was told I had to wear a full leg brace to help me walk, but things get old and broken. This brace is very costly and even with my insurance I still have to pay out of pocket a huge amount. Plus this old brace may be the  cause of me to having fluid in my bad leg which, is very painful. I might have to go to surgery. I'm so glad for programs like these to help those in need.
