Unfortunately, my deductible my insurance has is incredibly high and no one would tell me how much my upcoming surgery was going to be until less than a week before my  laparoscopic cystectomy on April 5. After what my insurance will cover, the total amount I have to pay is $5,338 and they will not accept payment plans or allow me to continue with the surgery unless I can provide them at least half of the owed amount. This has made an already stressful surgery become even more stressful and emotional.
