My name is Charlie, and my family is facing an unimaginable challenge. Just a few months ago, my mom lost the love of her life, her husband, in September 2024. The grief was still fresh when she had to undergo an emergency C-section on March 3, 2025, due to serious health issues and a life-threatening 2lb cyst.

Against all odds, my baby brother Adam was born, weighing just under 1lbs. He's a tiny but mighty fighter, and we're grateful for every moment we have with him. Adam is currently in the PNICU, where he's receiving around-the-clock care. My mom, still reeling from the loss of her husband, is by his side every day, balancing her classes, meetings, therapy, and hospital visits.
