Project story

Three years ago, my husband and I moved to Florida with hope in our hearts. After losing my mom and enduring family struggles, we dreamed of starting fresh and building a better life. For a while, things seemed to fall into place—I landed my dream job, and we were finally able to afford my husband’s treatments. I even began my own cancer care, believing that brighter days were ahead.
But life had other plans.
This year has been a storm we never saw coming. In August, our beloved dog—our comfort through all the pain—started bleeding. The vet told us he needs urgent dental care because of his age, but we’ve been struggling to find a way to help him. Then, on September 25th, everything collapsed. I lost my job—the only income we had. Overnight, we couldn’t afford treatments for my husband, for myself, or for our dog. Bills piled up. Rent fell behind. Every door we knocked on for help was slammed shut.
On December 6th, we received eviction notices. Our landlord’s harassment has only made things worse. My husband’s depression has deepened—he barely speaks, barely moves. He looks like a shadow of himself. I cry every night, praying for strength, praying for a miracle. I don’t care about myself anymore—I just want my husband and our dog to get the care they need and to keep a roof over our heads.
We’ve lost so much, but we haven’t lost faith. We believe God can make a way when there seems to be no way. If you can find it in your heart to help us, even a little, you’ll be giving us more than money—you’ll be giving us hope, healing, and the chance to keep our family together.
Here’s what your generosity will go toward:
$3,400 – Catch up on rent to avoid eviction
$6,000 – Medical treatments for my husband and myself
$1,000 – Dental care for our sweet dog who’s been in pain
Please, help us fight for our home, for my husband’s health, and for our dog who’s been our light in the darkness. Every prayer, every share, every donation matters.
Thank you, and may God bless you for your kindness. 🙏❤️😞
